Piscopo Honors an Eagle…

Rep. John Piscopo attended the recent Court of Honor ceremony for Eagle Scout and Thomaston resident Michael Schriver. The ceremony at Saint Thomas Church in Thomaston was followed by a reception the basement—the parish’s community center. Schriver earned his Eagle rank by organizing a project to rehab the space. “Michael has great leadership qualities that will certainly help him in future endeavors,” said Piscopo, who represents Thomaston, Harwinton, Litchfield and Burlington in the state legislature. “He just has that great leadership style that makes people want to work with him.”

Piscopo: Downgrade of State Bond Rating No Surprise

HARTFORD — The state’s credit was downgraded recently by one of the three major rating agencies because the Democratic-controlled legislature’s decision to use one-shot revenues to cover our deficits and borrow its way out of the current financial mess, Rep.
